Advantage Processors is an online tool for merchants allowing them to accept credit cards from their customers. The service is similar to that of PayPal, but in a sense it offers more for a better value. You can accept payments from all the major credit cards, such as Visa and MasterCard. They offer unique services such as a Virtual Terminal (allows you to enter in a credit card number and charge it), and a shopping cart.

There are many examples of High and Low risk merchants. In my instance, I would be a High risk merchant selling intangible goods online, such as server hosting. Other uses include gas stations, restaurants– just about anyone who accepts payments via a credit card!
If you want to apply to Advantage Processors, simply click here. It should also be noted that they offer a SATISFACTION GUARANTEE! You can cancel at anytime, with absolutely no penalty. Give it a shot, what can you lose? D

Well.. it sure has been a while since I last blogged here, eh? A lot has happened since when school ended. Firstly, it started again. I had a job over the summer, and even got something special with the money I made. Mark’s Database was totally dead for a while, too, since I wasn’t really paying any attention to it. However, I did get a lot of comments for rape videos and other crap like that. However, my anti-spam utilities picked them up and trashed ‘em all.

I will probably do some extensive changes to my entire web life over the next few weeks, such as revamping this blog, making (mf) Forum more exciting, and even starting (mf) Hosting. Although this will take some time, and details will follow. That’s what sucks about being a High School student- almost no web time anymore. I will try my best to improve my services and entertainment websites ASAP, but no promises.

Well, on to the actually “blog” part of Mark’s Database. I think I might actually try to expand it beyond me. I will probably end up renaming it, and getting a couple of editors here and review software and freeware and the likes of that. Hosting-wise, this blog and entire website will probably leave moved.in shortly, since I have expanded beyond their free services- no matter how reliable it may seem.

The “special” thing I bought from working was a Dell Inspiron e1505 notebook computer. Thus far, I really LOVE it! It’s got a..
- 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo
- 1GB RAM
- 100GB HD 7.2k RPM
- 8x DVD +/-RW DVD/CD Burner
- 15.4″ Glossy screen (simply stunning!)
- 256MB ATI Mobility RADEON x1400 [128MB ded; 128MB shared]
- 85 Whr battery [can have upwards of 4-5 hours of life; depends on user settings]
- 2 loud speakers
- 4 USB Ports
- 1 4 pin firewire port
- Express Card Slot [54mm]
- $1500USD Price Point

It plays all the games I throw at it, and it runs perfectly [except for the screen/hd- which were replaced for free by Dell.. no complaints with how fast it was, though].

I also have done a few things since the last time I blogged. Now there is (mf) File and Image Hosting, (mf) Hosting, and the (mf) Forum has been changed a lot too- there is now an arcade and 230 members.

As far as personal things are concerned, school has been awesome so far, no compaints as far as workload except a little bit too many tests in my opinion. I know this blog post is a tad bit fragmented, but heck- there is a lot to be said, and never enough time for me to type this entry out. I really might change this blog’s theme or something- a CSS Refresh- since it’s so dull and black. Ick.

Anyways, later guys. mrgreen

Well, I am glad to finally be able to say it. SCHOOL IS OUT!

All classes finally  came to an end yesterday. I am no longer a freshman, but a sophomore. I can’t wait for next year, I am going to be building a computer in one of my courses, and it’s a fresh start with new teachers, and time to make new friends in different classes.

However, this is not to say that this year wasn’t great, either. I made many new friends in my first year of high school, and I managed to survive. The transportation was good, too- just get picked up by a school bus. I learned lots of new things in my classes- Biology, Math, Gym, English, Global Studies, and a few others.

With the summer coming, there is a lot of things on my mind. Firstly, I’ll be working- my main goal? A MacBook! Also, Mark Forums might be converting to vBulletin.

More posts to come soon, promise! )

Imagine this, just backing up http://www.markforums.com, in the midst
of a thunderstorm. It’s really hot out, so naturally you have your A/C
on, which really sucks.. so you also have 2 desktop fans in your room
blowing air around to keep you and your pile of electronic appliances
cool.

Whilst backing up, you hear a large BANG! and when you look
behind you, your fan literally flew off it’s stand (the fans are raised
so they get around obstacles in my room). So you just think “Heck..
it’s a fan, probably wobbled off or something”. Then you look across
your room, and you see this MASSIVE bolt of lightning right outside
your window. Every electronic device, and I mean all of them.. are all
freaking out. Your digital clock has gone all wavy, your computer
screen is shaking, and your fans blew themselves off their desks.

This thunder storm has been going on for 3 hours now, and it’s getting
worse and worse and worse.. which means more entertainment. Thank
heavens for my paranoia- every outlet in my room is behind a surge
protector. My room would probably have been short circuited had it not
been for them. <_<

And you think you have a reason to fear lightning? :p

Enjoy the new banner of Mark’s Database, we have a bunch, but we slooooowly release them. Don’t wanna waste them all at once!

Apr 21st 2006

Easter is over (I think.. ).. so it’s time to change the banner! The theme for the next while is Firefox. Also, I guess it’s time for me to go , since some people seem to love that..

Today was most certainly AWESOME! The weather was so great, it’s like the sun was trying to make me feel good. The sky was 100% .. not a single cloud!

Went out with moms’ friends today (not like I got a choice.. ). We went to church for 3 hours (my church sect [Orthodox] has the whole calendar back about a week. I wonder if they did that to annoy me. Holy Week is now DURING MY VACATION, and Christmas is IN THE MIDDLE OF SCHOOL.. see what I mean? ) and then we had breakfast. “.. and in the morning, I’m making waffles!” well Ok, it was actually pancakes. Same thing.

Now I am just chillin’, since it’s 11:30 PM, so I finally get to just use the computer. How was your day?

2 new banners, they are random, as always. )
